Oh my Goodness!

Today was an interesting day to say the least. It all started like this...

Last night I got the message that Jeremy (classmate from school) was not going to need my son to shoot for the children's portrait. I thought "OK. No problem" he can just make it up. So now skip to the next morning, today...I get to school and then start to help my fellow classmate with her shoot. We have lighting issues and then fussy toddler issues, but we were able to trudge along. All was starting to come together until I get "the call".

The boy I was suppose to use for my subject had fallen and hit his head. Mind you it was at his house, not school, but his mom had to rush him to the ER. Of course I want her to take care of him first and I tell her not to worry about me. After my slight moment of panic, I then have to start scrabbling on who I will be able to shoot and ..."Make it Work!" Luckily I was able to call my mother in law to bring my son to the school, since Jeremy no longer needed him. Then I was able to call my husband and have him bring clothes for my son.

With 40 minutes to go, including breakdown, I had to rush my son into the studio, change him and then shoot away.

In the end, it all came together some how. Memphis, my son, did a great job and turned into the biggest ham for the camera. The little boy I was going to shoot got a concussion, but is going to be OK. My mother in law and husband came to my aid by bringing my son and clothes to shoot. Best of all,  I was able to finish in time. In the end it all came together. Thanks to everyone!
