What are you willing to shoot? Hmmmmmm!

I was looking through an American Photo magazine today and found the Controversy issue September/October 2009. I started to flip through it and found an image that I had forgot about. It was an image by Kevin Carter. He was a photographer who won the Pulitzer Prize and then shortly after committed  suicide. The image is beyond moving and incredibly sad, yet at the same time very powerful...to say the least. It definitely tells a story!
I guess one of the reasons I felt I should post this picture is that our Photojournalism teacher, Ms. Finch, was recently talking about photojournalism and the boundaries in which one may set while shooting.
I guess after seeing this picture the question that resonates is, what would you do in this situation or one similar?

  1. It's so sad. I heard what was the worst part is that he, the photographer, wasn't aloud to do anything because the government said so. Is that right?
